“Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men.” Ephesians 6:7 If you are looking to get involved here at Spirit Life, you have come to the right place! Spirit Life is growing and needs your help to make a difference in the lives of others. We encourage our members to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with the church and community through volunteering, evangelism, and ministry. Regardless of your interests, spiritual gifts or talents, there is a place for you. Whatever your interests are, there are many ways for you to get involved with Spirit Life. Below you will find information about the many opportunities we have for you to serve in. To begin serving at Spirit Life, please fill out our Volunteer Form and someone will be contacting you soon. Cleaning Description: The cleaning team does weekly cleaning at the church and in the Family Life Centre on Friday's or Saturday mornings. Must be reliable and self-motivated. Hours are flexible. Serving: On a scheduled rotation every other week-or as needed. Minimum Commitment: (1) 2 hour shift - Twice a month, weekly or as needed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Greeters Description: Greeters must greet members or guests warmly as they enter the building making them feel welcome for all regularly scheduled services and special events. Greeters need to be able to direct people to various areas of the church or have a support team member escort them as necessary. Greeters are must to have a willing spirit and a friendly smile. Serving: On a scheduled rotation, arriving 30 minutes prior to scheduled service. Minimum Commitment: 30 minutes prior to scheduled service -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guest Hub Description: This is a team of people who staff the Guest Hub 30 minutes before and after all services and special events. They provide information to people about the church, events, and volunteer sign ups. They also help in directing visitors and/or answering their questions regarding the church and services. Must be friendly and have a happy and smiling personality. Serving: On a scheduled rotation. Minimum Commitment: 30 minutes before and after services. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Usher Description: This is a group of men and women who serve God by serving Pastor Taylor, the congregation and visitors who attend a church service or special event. The ushers assist Pastor or other ministers so the word can go forth effectively. They are ready to serve the people entering the sanctuary for services whenever necessary to help everyone feel comfortable so they can receive from God. The usher team is looking for people who are well-balanced, dependable, and committed to fulfilling God's vision for Spirit Life. A willing heart and desire to serve is required, necessary skills will be taught. Serving: On a scheduled rotation 30 minutes before and 15 minutes after each service. Minimum Commitment: Once or twice a month. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hospitality Description: This is a team of men and women who provide assistance to the various ministries of Spirit Life with food preparation, table set up, seasonal decorating, and food service for different events. Must have a willing heart, a desire to get the job done, team spirit and be reliable. Serving: On an as needed basis. Arriving ahead of event time to prep, serving at the event, and/or clean up. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extreme Youth Sponsors Description: This is a team of men and women, young adults, and youth who are willing to serve God by helping Bro. Ricardo and Sis. Sharon. Your assistance may be required at youth functions before, after and during service on Wednesday nights or during other youth sponsored events. You must have a willing heart and a desire to serve the Youth ministry with integrity and excellence. Serving: On a scheduled rotation. Minimum Commitment: Twice a month. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spirit Life Kids Description: Workers are encouraged to have an open, cheerful heart to assist Sister Martha and our children in their spiritual growth. Assistants are needed on Sunday morning's. Serving: On a scheduled rotation. Minimum Commitment: Arriving 30 minutes before services. Minimal clean up after service. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Media & Graphic Design Description: There are several different ways to help in this area: Help to create graphics for special projects when needed. Create Announcement slideshow (powerpoint experience necessary) Help run ProPresenter during Sunday and Wednesday services. Serving: On a project by project basis Minimum Commitment: Must meet deadlines to continue serving in this area. If running ProPresenter must be at Service 1 hour before each service.
